SkyMobile Modular Application Design and Development

Smart Design for Smarter Mobility

Instead of implementing one large application with varying levels of access, the SkyMobile enterprise application platform allows for the development of smaller role-based applications. In this case, the modules are groupings of functionality based on the employee, customer, or vendor roles, which are determined by the identity management function. Only the data and applications the user is authorized to access are synchronized and stored on the device, resulting in faster and easier deployment.

Below is an example of how a basic Warehouse Management application would be converted to modular applications, with the functionality broken into six different applications (modules) based on the distinct business roles.

Deploying modules also facilitates the flexibility for IT to “push” required role-based applications to the users or for users to “pull”/choose the authorized applications they require (i.e., enterprise mobility on-demand). Because SkyMobile Applications are “code-free,” they can be dynamically installed and synchronized while the user is working on the device. There is no need to re-install any programs, restart the device etc. The applications can even be synchronized whilst the user is working in them and all data conversions and synchronization is handled seamlessly and automatically.
